UPCOMING EVENTS
|
The cook-man
would like to thank you for such a great potluck last week.
The food was fantastic and the fellowship was even better!
This is our Third Sunday of the Advent season. The word Advent
means “coming “or “arrival”.” It is, in a sense, a countdown
of anticipation in which we celebrate Christ’s coming, in
which He was born into this world as a small child in a manger
just over 2000 years ago.
December our next leadership
team meeting will be announced at a later time.
We need to replenish our pantry with
can goods, if you can help, please bring your items to the
church with you and place them in the basket at the door.
Thank you.
There are four barrels around town
to collect good used coats, hats and cloves for people that
are in need. The locations are located at the Water District
Office, Hobbey’s Casino, Scolaris store and the Dollar store.
Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever
sows generously will also reap generously.
Beware! Don’t be greedy for what you don’t have. Real life
is not measured by how much we own. Our wealth is the relationship
we have with the Lord.
Change your thoughts and you change the world.
It’s never too late to be who you might have been.
Are you willing to change, you cannot be the same today as
you were yesterday. We must learn daily from God and be obedient
unto Him.
What is showing up in your life? Would people say that it
is good?
Financials for 2008
Thank you for financial help. The church pays its bills through
your tithe and offerings, Ask God how you can help in this
area if you are not already helping. Ask God if you need to
give more if you are already giving.

INSPIRING MESSAGES
PRAY AS IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDS UPON IT!
PRAY FOR THE CHURCH AND COMMUNITY!
I never did anything worth doing by accident, nor did any of my inventions
come by accidents; they came by work. T Edison
All Scripture is God – breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking,
correcting and training in righteousness. 2 Timothy 3:16
Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This
will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. Proverbs
3:7-8
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trust in Him, and I
am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to Him in song.
Psalm 28:7
Trust in the Lord and do good. Psalm 37:7
INSPIRING MESSAGES
You never get a second chance to
make a good first impression
There is good in everyone but not
everyone chooses to do good.
Too bad that all the people who know
how to run the country are busy driving
taxicabs and cutting hair
Some people find fault as if it were
buried treasure
